Colour of Selected Items in Listboxes

Using Excel 97, I have two listboxes (in two different Userforms in the same Workbook). I have the boxes in two different background colours (and border colours) and would like to have the highlighted / selected item(s) in each box to match the other colours in the same box, but nothing I do has any effect; it always uses the Windows colour (as set in Windows Preferences). Is there any way I can independently change the Selected Item colour?
