I have a pretty basic question:

Can you colour match things in Quark 7 like you can in Photoshop?

I've tried colour matching in Photoshop and copying over the hex codes and RGB & CMYK properties but the colours are never the same.

If the number values you enter are the smae then you colors should match. Numbers don't lie! You cannot go by what you view on your screen because Quark PREVIEWS colors differently. You can change these preview settings through Quark color management. Open your Quark prefrences and select Quark CMS. Check "Color Management Active". Set you desired Monitor profile under "Destination Profiles" (I'd try Generic RGB). Then set "Display Simulation" to "Monitor Color Space".
