Hello,

I am trying to print to a HP 722c color desk jet printer on plain paper, the PS file is CMYK. The problem is blue. I can't seem to get a nice bright blue. All the other colors seem to print OK. I've tried on another printer also with basically the same results.

If the blue is nice and bright on the screen it prints with a purple hue. I can get a blue color print if I tweak the color to the green/cyan side, even then the best I can get is a dingy blue. Red, orange, green all look good.

Any thoughts.

On a side note, does anyone know if the 722c will accurately reproduce Pantone colors?

Thanks!

Placer: Desktop printers don´t print colors correctly.
Probably the result will be better if you use RGB.
CMYK is only for offset printing. ---Gernot
