Colorizing tool not working! Help!

I have been using PSP 9 for about 2 years and suddenly the colorizing tool is not working. Everytime I attempt the colorize a project, the only change it makes it making the image greyscale!
I have not changed any options or preferences.
Can anyone help me?

There are 2 options in the Colorizer, One selects the color, and the second selects the intensity, You should make sure the one that controls the intensity is properly placed to where the color will show, otherwise any color you select from the other one will just look gray.

so choose the second scale, and drag it to the right.
