I have just installed Corel Draw. I am attempting to learn how to select a specific area of an Autocad Drawing and shade or color it.

I am very much a novice/beginner.

The areas that need coloring are not standard shapes or sizes.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited. I have been told that I will need to learn about polylines?

Hi,
My experience with autocad type of drawings, that by the time they are opened or imported into CorelDraw, the drawing consists of lines, not shapes. You may have to connect the lines together and close them to make a polygon in order to fill with a color.
