Hi there--

I've created a bar graph, and the customer wants the series to be colored using a gradient. This is all fine and well, except that when I use gradients, my data labels show up with white boxes around them, which makes it look very tacky.

Strangely enough, if I change one of the series to a color color, the white boxes disappear for the entire graph.

Ideas?

Thanks!

Which version of Crystal are you using?

Higher versions have extra functionality (Particularly in this area)

Usually it would be a case of using the chart analyser to select the data label item and make the background for the item transparent.

This is in Crystal 9.2.634...when I highlight and edit the selected item, the "Line" and "Fill" tabs are greyed out...

Try to select the data label box->chart options->selected item->select "Box: No frame".

no dice..."no frame" was already selected.
