work on a base. We have an 11C in a vault that bounces off of an Avaya switch that runs to the Base Switch. Our issue is, they changed the dialing scheme to access off base numbers... used to require dialing 99, now they want to change to a straight 7 dialing format. Thanks in advance for any help.

once you post that one of us can help.. 99 may just be ac1, but it can be a dsc as well..

it gave me sch0151. AC1 is 99 and AC2 is 94. I verified that via LD 86. thanks in advance.

OK, just got off of the phone with the base comm folks. Looks like people will still need the 99 to dial off base. What they have done is eliminated 5 digit dialing for base phones. Now you have to dial the full 7 digits. So 99 is still required for off base dialing. Hope this helps... cuz I need it at this point.

thanks again.

Sounds like the AC1 99 is a double dialing code. One 9 for hitting the trunk (Tie lines to the Avaya) and another 9 to dial out of the Avaya. Check your DGT feature before you change anything. If there is a "insert" of another 9, then you'll have to keep this DGT feature.
You could just change AC1 to 7 and be done. Do some testing first.

utilizing the DGT, I get the following:

DMI 3
DEL 0
INST 99
CTYP NCHG

DMI 7
DEL 0
INST 94
CTYP NCHG

DMI 9
DEL 0
CTYP NCHG

DMI 11
DEL 0
CTYP NCHG

DMI 91
DEL 0
INST 99
CTYP NCHG

DMI 99
DEL 1
CTYP NCHG

thanks..

if I add to this... say, I want a user to dial 55, would that be the DMI or INST

Goto
LD 90 and prt all in AC1 and AC2 to see what you have and what RLI's they go to.

and then goto

LD 86 and prt RLI

DMI is simply the number you give the Digit Manipulation Index, you reference it on the RLI. You can delete and/or insert digits.

Without understanding your dialing plan, were all just guessing at what it is you really need to do. we need info from you if you want us to help.

if ac1 is 99, why did you get the sch? in ld 90 prt a nxx that is off base.. note the rlb, then prt the rli and note the dgt..

so if 99 is ac1 and i dial 99 nxx +4 digits.. my dgt either inserts 1 or 2 nines and sends it to a route

Sorry about the delay. I'll go check LD 90. Wasn't sure if I needed to access NXX or NPA?

our system here is unique. We don't have a printer so I am having to manually write everything out. go to a PC in another area and providing you with the info.

I've never attended BARS/NARS so you'll have to forgive my ignorance. I attempted LD 90 via NXX and it gives me NXX 200-999 all on RLI 3.

John...

there is no rlb listed using LD 90... it lists the RLI, SDRR none and ITEI none.

I think LD 86 has the RLB feature and then RLI pops up, I just hit enter after that and it lists the RLIs and associations. Thanks alot though.

anyone have a solution? Do I have to build a new DGT via LD's 86 and 90 (cross-referencing the RLI, DMIs numbers etc...

If you are saying 99 is to get out, and now 7 is to get out, chg the AC1 in the ESN data block to 7.

Changing it to 7 isn't going to work unless you change all the programming that there is now for 99 and 94.

Give us an example of how you would dial a Local number and a LD number, then maybe using the info above that you gave us we can follow the flow of a call out of your switch into the other.
