Color Profiles????????

I am running Mac OS 9.2.2 Quark XPress 4.1. When I try to open a document on a Mac i get a message that says "xxxx uses profiles not installed in your system" Once you click continue you get a dialogue box that lists profiles but the two profiles it is missing is RGB color and RGB Image. I have no clue what these are or why I am getting this message yet if i go to another mac and open the same files I do not get this message? Any clue?

Have a look under your system folder/ colorsync profiles folder and compare folders, then copy the missing ones over. Or do a find for the profile on the computer which has it, so you know where it lives. then once copied, restart and try again

I am having the same problem, but on a PC. After installing Windows XP and updating to Quark 6.1, opening documents gives me the "color profiles are missing..." alert. Says it's missing an Epson profile, and we don't have an Epson printer.

Also getting "File is locked" when saving documents through the network with this new configuration. Anybody else? Thanks.

File is locked" means you probably don't have permission to write (save) the file back over the network just like trying to save a file opened from a cd, try doing a save as to your local hard drive then copying it back to were the original lives.
About the missing profiles. I would say the the Files was originally created with the epson profile, and now you have it, and it is looking for the profile it was made with. I wouldn't worry to much about it because you will no dout save it using your profile, or make pdf with your profiles embeded.
