Color Panel not applying color

Hi All,

I am using Adobe InDesign CS5.5. The Color panel works strangely and I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this.

1. First, I select my text or object.
2. In the Color panel, I open the panel menu and choose my color model.
3. Then I choose my color.

Nothing happens.

However, if I open the panel menu again and choose the color model I have already chosen (or any other for that matter), the color is then applied. This cannot be normal behavior.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a bug?

I am running InDesign in a Virtual PC window, which is memory intensive, but I doubt that would affect it.

Ideas?

Update

InDesign crashed earlier forcing me to restart. When I restarted, the Color panel operated correctly. Meybe it was a memory issue..??
