Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I worked on a project in PSP 10 and I added a bunch of custom colors to the color palette. Today I opened PSP 10 again and all the customized colors in the palette are gone, there are only the default colors. What did i do wrong?

Thanks,

esebm

Yes, of course I did save them as swatches.

Just checking - some users might confuse the recent colors list as a saved colors list.

Anyway, now go to the folder where custom swatches are saved. The default is My PSP Files/Swatches. The colors are saved individually, so for every color you saved there should be one corresponding file. If the files are there, then check to see if PSP's preferences are still set to read (and save) the contents to this folder; if it isn't, then that is the reason why the swatches are "gone".

The swatches folder is there and it contains only the default color files.

This is not the first time all my customized colors have disappeared, it happens every couple of months.

That's weird, the files that are saved to the My PSP Files folder shouldn't be deleted unless you do that yourself - that's why they are outside the program's directory.

I can't help you with that but if no one else jumps in here, you might as well try asking at the PSPUG's forum:

Thanks anyway. I guess I'll copy the swatches folder to a backup drive next time.

I'll check that other link.
