Hi,

I just started learning Adobe photoshop by using "Classroom in a book." I am in Lesson 1. On Page 11 "Starting Photoshop and opening a file" the book instruction says "hold down 'CTRL+Alt+Shift' for the three messages to apear." These three messages did not show up and in the work area, every thing showed up except color palete, which prevent me from moving forward into Project 2-a promotional post card. Any idea why?

The color palette is located under the Window in the menu bar. I am not sure what Ctrl + Alt + Shift should do. I would recommend going to adobepress.com and click on book support. Enter the isbn number and look for the errata for the books. There you will find corrections for directions that are wrong or misleading....

Enjoy learning photoshop...

Ctrl + Alt + Shift when administered at PShop startup will allow you to reset the "preferences" to their original settings. see my post in thread229-1069674

I'm not aware if any other use for the Ctrl + Alt + Shift
