When I view an image in Photoshop, versus in "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or Internet Explorer, they appear warmer, more red in them.
I recently bought a Dell Ultraharp 19" LCD monitor. I didn't seem to have this problem before changing monitors. I previously had a Sony 19" CRT monitor.
Can someone point me in the right direction please to correct this.

When you go to the "Color Settings" dialog box, what settings have you got?

You have to calibrate colors, that is, there's a utility that adjustes the color space so that everything connected to your computer (screen, printers, digital cameras, etc.) has the same color.

Adobe explains it like this:

Photoshop's color management system helps you maintain the appearance of colors as you bring an image in from a source device, edit the image on your computer, and then output your image. Photoshop follows a color management workflow based on conventions developed by the International Color Consortium (ICC), a group responsible for standardized profile formats and procedures so consistent color can result from software and devices working together.

Check Photoshop's help to calibrate and create color profiles. First you have to calibrate your monitor using the Adobe Gamma (you can find it in the control panel) in Windows or if you have a Mac you use the Monitor Calibrator.

I hope this helps you out with this problem.
