I am creating a splash page for a web site using flash and then using photoshop for the static pages. However I am having problems matching the colors from photoshop to flash.

How do developers solve this problem. I created a prototype in photoshop that consists of the colors we are looking to use. When I started to do the splash page I imported the .psd file into flash and the colors look totally different. I have also tried to get the RGB color in the photoshop file and enter it into the color palette of the flash file but still the colors are off. (eg. Photoshop R:181 G:130 B:3 looks different than flashes R:181 G:130 B:3). It is my understanding these colors should be the same.

Just a note my monitor has the color quality set at 32 Bit.

I am using Photoshop CS and Flash MX

Any advice on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

What type of image do you use to import in Flash?

If I use PNG24 to export the image it looks totally the same.
(And make sure you did not check the 'use web colors'-box in photoshop. Otherwise the color-values you entered will be change to webproof colors!

Hey,

Thanks for the advice everything looks cool and working well. I did as you suggested and saved the file as PNG24.

Everything looks great thanks...

Splash page? *shudders*
Well, I guess you have a good reason for it. Just wanted to drop my unasked for 2 cents...

Now that we live in the days of Windows XP SP2 splash pages are going to become at least partially necessary again.

Yet another case of a few bad apples ruining the bunch.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
