I have imported a graphic into Indesign which I had changed from RGB to CMYK in Photoshop. I used the eyedropper to get a color from the logo to use elsewhere in the document. When I use the color swatch to color a box it comes out a different shade of blue to the logo.

What am I doing wrong. Is there a setting I can change?

Thanks

Tracy

When you say 'it comes out', what do you mean? On an ink-jet proof? Off a press? On screen?

And what file format is the image when you place it into ID?

Have you sampled the image in Photoshop to see if you're getting different CMYK values?

Have you checked your color management settings?

I mean it comes out of a laser printer.

The file format of the image is a photoshop .psd file.

I had converted the image from rgb to cmyk in photoshop and copied the color with the eyedropper tool in InDesign. I checked the cmyk values in photoshop and InDesign and they were the same.

Haven't checked color management settings? What do I need to check there?

Thanks

Tracy
