I have a machine running Office 2003 Standard with Service Pack 2 installed, For some reason the when I select a cell in Excel and change the fill color the change is not visible on this system. If I open the same excel file on another pc the fill colors are there.

Is there any setting in excel that might produce this result?

most likely: high contrast is turned on.

go to Start, Control Panel, Accessibility Options, Display tab, clear the Use High Contrast check box.

if not, update your graphics driver & also printer driver.

is there a default printer attached?
