Color Flashing with Solaris 10 on Ultra 25..

Does anyone know how to help with Color Flashing in Solaris 10 CDE with an Ultra 25/XVR-300 graphics card. I have run a cutomized CAD program on solaris 8 on ultra 5's with the 8 bit color depth. I have tried to set the fake8 on the Ultra 25 and it crashes my application. Does anyone know how to change to 8 bit depth from 24 and help in the color flashing problem with applications?
