I'm having problems when I export a banner to gif format. Everything comes out fine except for photographs. The photographs are becoming discolored. Any ideas? Here is the link
Another minor problem I'm having with may or may not be related. When I try to click on items on the stage with the subselection arrow...nothing happens. If I try with the selection tool nothing happens and instead of a arrow I get a hand.

Thanks in advance for any ideas and help!

The discolouration is due to gifs having a limited palette of colours to draw from (256) and if colours in the photo fall outside that range the nearest one is used. Flash's gif export is pretty limited - it's often a good idea to do this in Fireworks or Photoshop/ImageReady where you have a bit more control over the colours and how the compression is applied.

The hand cursor thing may be down to having 'live preview' and 'enable buttons' switched on in the 'control' menu which is a default in MX2004,

I had actually already taken the pictues into photoshop and exported them as web safe gif's...and it was still happening I finally solved the problem. In the library, I right clicked on the item, when to properties and changed it from lossless png/gif to photo jpg.
