I have recently noticed that all of my DC's (9 of them connected over a WAN VPN'ed) link are generating a lot more than normal incoming and outgoing traffic.

On some of my less used sites that only have around 30 machines the server is upto 40 million packets in only 6 days. Our operation isn't that large and this brings some suspicion to me. I didn't ever take a baseline to see where things should be at but this does seem more than usual.

The server's main usage are:

Print server
File Server
DNS
Domain Controller
Secondary SMS Server
Hosted .PST files for Outlook

So what I'm asking is if anyone knows of a good utilty that I can use to monitor where the packets are going to and what is generating all this traffic.

thanks
