Collect current Win2k Server Shared folders/open files

Is there any windows API or a way to collect the list of info remotely in windows 2000 Computer Management Screen (Right Click My computer, select Manage) /system tools/ Shared Folders/ Open Files list? I have a few servers i would like to monitor the open files from the shares of the servers. is there a way to download that info remotely besides using windows MMC?
