Cold Fusion Mail Server Settings Not Updating

We recently moved our webserver inhouse and have to update our coldfusion mail settings.

Im trying to update the SMTP mail server address on the coldfusion admin console. BUT... Every time i update the ip address of our the mail server and click confirm coldfusion states setting have benn updated sussessfully but once I logout and in to the admin console again the SMTP mail server reverts to the old SMTP server.

Have you tried restarting CF after you make the changes? I've never heard of this particular problem, but I know in some cases you have to restart to get changes to take affect.

Hi ECAR,

Yes we have restarted the services and the server. Also entered duff data and it accepts changes but does not save them. We are beginning to think it may be an .ini file that is causing the problems. We have also not updated coldfusion MX in a while, do you know if there has been any fixes for this type of problem.

I'm not sure what all it fixes, but I know a new CFMX updater came out a few months ago. You may want to try running that and see if it helps.
