cognos8 configuration

Hi,

i have installed and configured the cognos reportnet ,but the tables are not created in the content store, i have xp home OS before and i have upgraded to the xp Pro recently and added the IIS to the admin tools. i'm using the sql server 2000 developer edition.

what could be the issue,

what is the error message you get? and what are the log files telling you?

single/multi server?

what i would do is turn on anonymous access, make sure that the problem is not with the configured namespace (assuming you have configured one and turned off anonymous).

i also believe that sql server 2000 needs a minimum of sp3a to be used as a content store.. or was it sp 4.. i would just get sp4 in case your service packs are not up to date.
