Hi

I have the following problem:

In my Transformer model I have one dimension (say A) with five levels. After I generate categories for this dimension, I get 59 categories for the last level. But the category generation also changes the number of categories of another dimension (say B), which I did not selected for the category generation.

When I generate the categories for dimension B first, then the generation for dimension A runs without any problems. This means it do not change the number of categories of the dimension B.

What is wrong here?

Menu->Run->Generate Categories from Selected Data Source

or

with a right click on the specific data source in the data sources window and then Generate Categories from Architect Query

Are there any differences between these two options?

Sounds like your data in the levels is different in A and B causing the different total last levels. What ever levels are in A are not 100% the same for B, however, it sounds also like you may have one level that is related in B, but can change when data is updated. This is very likely.
