Cognos Scripting/Macros and Unix

Does anybody know if you can use macros or cognos script on a unix server environment. Somebody told me that you would have to use Perl Scripting - and I just wanted to know if anybody can confirm that. I'm trying to have my IWR reports run monthly and then saved as a PDF. Same thing with Powerplay reports.

I'm fairly sure that the Cognos macro language only works on the Windows platform. If Perl can work as an OLE client, then you should be able to call the Impromptu or Powerplay objects, properties, and methods there.
