If you create a catalogue in Impromptu against your access database, then so long as you open that catalogue when running your macro (e.g. "objImpApp.OpenCatalog "x:\catalogues\access.cat","Creator",,,,1,"
impromptu reports called thereafter will work ok.
You should find ODBC drivers for Access as part of your windows install ('fraid I can't help with Unix).
