Cognos migration to new server

Hi all,

We want to move our existing Cognos 7 setup to a new server and I am looking for pointers.

The existing machine is a Win Server 2003 and we are moving to Server 2008

We are not upgrading from 7 as we plan to move to SSRS.

I will be the first to admit I have never used Cognos and we have no inhouse expierence of it.

Apologies for the open nature of the question. I am hoping some of you guru's out there will say
"it's easy, just follow this link for instructions...."

If this is all about needing to keep Cognos 7 in the air till you have switched to SSRS, then why not run a virtual 2003 box on the 2008 server? Would save a lot of work and possible issues, like the possible ones with IIS..
