Cognos default namespace and passwords 1

My company already implements a Iplanet LDAP. I pointed the cognos install to this ldap and it created a namespace called default that cognos uses for it's security now. I now have the cognos default namespace and my production namespace for all other applications. What I want to do is either export the corporate users from my production ldap and put them in the cognos default namespace or figure out a way to sync the passwords between the 2 ldaps. I already sync the user names, but the passwords I can't do. I don't even understand the format of the password in cognos namespace. Anyone have any experience syncing the users and passwords across an LDAP?
