I created a new user using cognos series 7 and published packages giving that user read right and ex to Cognos 8. The user for whatever reason does not have permissions to access Cognos Connections public folders. I have done this before and it worked fine but there is a step I forgot and for the life of me I cannot remember what it was. I do remember I had to set it in Cognos Connection somewhere.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Log into Cognos Connection as someone with Directory Administrator rights (or higher). Navigate to the top level within the Public Folders page, and use the 'Set Properties' button on the toolbar. Go to the Permissions tab, add in your user from the Series 7 namespace, and grant Traverse, Read and Execute privileges to the user.

Regards,

MF.
