Cognos 8 SubString of a GL Account Field

I have a field, GLDEBITACCT, that has account codes such as 6200.2-004-00.00000-05.1. I need to create a paramter that allows users to insert a Project Code, which is the 5 digit number here, 6200.2-004-00.00000-05.1. How can I do this?
