Cognos 8 LDAP Namespace on Solaris

We have configured/setup cognosconfig on Solaris to use IBM's Tivoli namespace. It appears to work, however, the groups/roles do not appear to be available in Cognos Connection. The users appear to show and are fine. Any ideas why the Tivoli groups won't appear?

yes, because that is not hte way the product works.
you have to create groups/roles adn add users to them in cognos connection.

Actually, Cognos can/does read the groups that are setup in the Tivoli ldap (we knew this because it was working in our test and production systems)... and there was something that was preventing them from showing up in Cognos Connection. There was a typo or incorrect setting in one of the options in Cognosconfig on the Unix server.
