Cognos 8.2 report writing Query Calculation error msg

I have a cross tab where I wish to do a simple calculation of "Current year YTD" minus "last year YTD". I create a query calculation and get the following error:

The dimensions on the edge are inconsistent. A dimension of valueSet="21" is not the leaf on the first path.
