Cognos 8.2 and SQL Server 2005

I need to upgrade my SQL Server from 2000 to 2005, can I continus with my 8.2 environment or do I need to upgrade

you can still use your current cognos 8.2, but need to re-configure the content store.

You need to make sure that you have a backup of the content store and create a SQL server 2005 compatible database.
AFAIK upgrading a SQL 2000 instance to a 2005 one should be totally painless. Can't think of a re-configuring step just yet.
