I'm Installing a Partner Messaging 4 port 1.0 tommorrow for a customer who needs outcalling to notify them of messages.. I've installed hundreds of ACS systems, but this is my first Messaging Module.. I don't understand all that mumbo jumbo ip crap where you hook it up to the computer to program so isn't there just a list of feature codes somewhere so I can program the Partner Messaging through extension 10 or 11?

I think I just need the feature code to setup the outcalling.. I've been playing with the thing for a few hours and found how to assign extensions to be allowed outcalling, but how do I setup which numbers to call, how often to notify etc.. This thing can do too much stuff and its confusing.. Also trying to find out how to assign which autoattendant to which lines.. They have 2 companies running out of the same building.. I don't have a manual either :(

Relax, it's going to be simple for you!!

You don't need the GUI, although I do like it when creating lots of mailboxes, or to get a visual on Auto Attendant programming. AND, for outcalling, it is easy to see what is programmed (or misprogrammed) for individual mailboxes.

Be that as it may, first you must allow the mailbox to outcall, through the System Administrator's mailbox. 2 for Extensions, mailbox number and #, then 5 for outcalling, and I THINK it is 1 to allow outcalling.

Then, in an individual mailbox, 6 to get to the outcalling menu. 1 turns it on and off, 2 will play the outcalling numbers, 3 will explain how to input the numbers, 4 is where you input the numbers, 5 for the schedule, 6 for the interval between the numbers, and 7 for the number of cycles through the list.

The key is in programming the number. It MUST start with 9*, so that the VM can pick up an outside line and pause before dialing the outcalling number.

Listen carefully to all the prompts, and it will make sense!!

Awesome! Thanks TTT... Thats the confidence I needed.. I will play with those features tonight as I've pushed the customers install back one day..
