codepage automatic selection problem

Hi
I have problem with codepage automatic setting through html on Apache server

this is two completly same HTML files

http://www.ib.ns.ac.yu/

and

http://www.primatron.co.yu/bio/

and they are showing first wrong and other good even they are same
I suppose there is some setting on Apache to succesfully send codepage and speciall letters in htpdocs.conf or some other config file

For the first ( [navy][ignore]

http://www.ib.ns.ac.yu/

[/ignore][/navy] ) the web server sends [highlight][tt]Content-type: text/html[/tt][/highlight] header line and for the second ( [navy][ignore]

http://www.primatron.co.yu/bio/

[/ignore][/navy] ) sends [highlight][tt]Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1[/tt][/highlight].

So there is somewhere a default character set setting. Search httpd.conf and .htaccess(es) for [tt]AddDefaultCharset[/tt] directive.

Hi

If I was not too clear : if you find an [tt]AddDefaultCharset[/tt], comment it out or delete it. This way the [tt]charset=utf-8[/tt] from the documents [tt]meta[/tt] tag will be honored.

when I view source they are same, and I have copied same files

on the other side there is no .htaccess file on my /var/www/

in htpdconf there is no AddDefaultCharset

and last one pages need utf-8 to display correct character
and ib.ns.ac.yu is displayed correctly when I set utf manually but

is displaying correctly automaticly

strange but I will try to add default chartype
that might help even it is wrong

Not wrong, but will mess up the non UTF documents, if you have any.
