codeing without ide?

I have a large # of controls to deal with and numerous forms. I'm sure this would be more efficient without using the ide. Using generated code as a reference I noticed the remark "Do note modify using the code editor" in the declaration for the form. I ignored this and added some controls with the editor and it seems to work ok.

What is the "correct" approach in such a scenario?

Thanks in advance!

That was it. Just ignore it.

As long as you modify the code outside the IDE, you'll be OK (assuming you don't introduce any syntax errors, etc, while doing so).
