codec help?

I should preface this with the fact that I have very limited computer skills, but follow directions well, so if anyone could help me out it would be very much appreciated.
I am trying to watch an avi movie on my computer using DivX, and when I open the movie this message shows up:

This file contains unknown audio data


The video file you are opening includes audio data that is not recognized by the DivX Player.

The file contains the following type of data:

Audio data: Tag 8192

You may need to install a new audio codec on your computer to listen to

The Video works fine but there is no sound. How can I fix this?
