Ok on a different worksheet i want a macro that i can type in the number of cases say 8/8/01 = 400 and the macro will till me on what day this numbet will run out.
for example 8/8/01 = 400 cases
this will run out on 8/10/01
as you can see i have two column's I go through two weeks
week one column one
week two column two
please help any question just email me.

The answer is floating tantalisingly close, if only I understood what the sheet was . . . .

Unless someone works it out before me, can I suggest you explain the sheet a little better? What is a case, what is usage? (The date bit I understood . . . )

usage is the number of cases my customer ordered.
I have a inventory of 500 cases
my usage will be say 125 cases sold per day for example
I want to project out how many days this will last
but at the same time more is being received.
I need to to first in first out nad what day they go on
thanks for the help.

This sounds like simple math:

[tt]
Date: [tab][tab][tab][tab]9/8/01
Stocked Inventory:[tab]400 cases
Inventory Sold: [tab]-100 cases
Shipments Received: [tab]0 cases
Current Inventory:[tab]300 cases
Projected sales: [tab]125 cases
Estimated stay: [tab]2.4 days (300 / 125)
[retrieve integer or set a cell to format = number]
[ and decimal place = 0] [/color]
Run Out Date: [tab][tab]9/10/01 (8 + 2)[/tt]

Is this it? Is this what you want your macro to calculate? You could have most, if not all, of this set up on a sheet and only a little bit of coding to figure out the 'run-out' date.

What's your pleasure?
