Code for Random Number Generator

Thanks for attempting to help me:

I need to find the minimum of a multi-dimension (maybe 7-8) equation. I need to use random numbers to solve this (monte-carlo method). I'm new to Fortran and I am completely lost. Where can I find example codes? Or how should I approach this problem?

I appreciate any tips, advice, etc.
