Code for detecting if browser's back button was clicked

Is there a way to determine if a web site visitor reached a certain page by hitting the browser's back button or by clicking on a link to that page?

For example if a web site visitor went from page A to page B and then goes to page A. Is there a way to detect whether the visitor go to page A by clicking a link to page A or by clicking the browser's back button?

I dont think theres any way of capturing the back button click.
I've never found a way to do it anyway (I'd LIKE to....)

The only round about way to approximate it would be to compare history entries.
