I removed Roxio Easy CD Creator from my windows XP System and when I rebooted My CD/RW drive was gone. It said code 19 Dammange to reg. I cannot use Restore It won't go back not even in safe mode. Need Help Gary cjohns29@tampabay.rr.com

During the uninstall, did it ask you if you wanted to remove shared files?
If so, did you remove them?

I don't remember it asking that it just froze my system near the end and never really completed. I had to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to return to normal. I was using the regular windows uninstaller. Thanks Gary cjohns29@tampabay.rr.com

If I were in your shoes right now, I would reinstall the app, and then use ITS uninstall to take it back out.
If it asks you to remove shared files, say NO.

Probably your fastest way to try for a start.

Make sure you do not have a ton of apps running in the background when you install and uninstall, like antivirus etc. Use the task manager to turn as much off as possible.

Give it a try, and post back and let us know how you do.

Good Luck! Kimber

Make sure to download the WinXP patch for Easy cd Creator of you are using a version lower than 6.0. Easy cd Creator can cause many problems if you don't upgrade it to be compatible with XP !
