I have an OLD Novell network that uses coax cable with twist type connectors.

I just bought a laptop with an Ethernet card with the phone type connector.

Do they make an adaptor that I can attach to the coax cable and then connect to my laptop?

Sorry that I don't know the proper terms for the connectors.

Thanks.

Bruce

I haven't seen an adapter (transceiver) to change from twisted pair to coax. You could 1) buy a coax PCMCIA network card for the laptop or 2) buy a small mini-hub which has a BNC (coax) connector and 10-BaseT ports.
