please see the below and help me understand why these trunks would be in two separate routes:

TYPE TLST
TKTP COT
ROUT 1
DES
TN 004 0 00 00 MBER 1 xxx-3006
TN 004 0 00 01 MBER 2
TN 020 1 01 06 MBER 3
TN 004 0 00 03 MBER 4
TN 004 0 00 04 MBER 5
TN 004 0 00 05 MBER 6
TN 020 0 02 06 MBER 7 xxx-3006
TN 004 0 00 07 MBER 8
---------------------------
TYPE TLST
TKTP COT
ROUT 2
DES
TN 020 0 01 01 MBER 13 xxx-3006
TN 020 1 01 05 MBER 14 xxx-3007
TN 020 1 01 07 MBER 15
TN 004 0 00 02 MBER 20 xxx-3007

how can the same phone number show up on these different TNs in different routes? I am very confused. thank you.

The number is what's entered against DES in LD14 & is only a label

but how is the same phone number showing when i make a call from these TNs?

Without knowing your market, I can only assume that at the exchange end they are all steppers off of the same pilot number

They could also be coded terminals in a hunt group... two main number, 3006 & 3007, with several trunks in hunt that don't have a 'real' number, but send just the hunt group pilot. I've had several sites configured that way. Why they have both 3006 and 3007 in the same route then doesn't make sense tho, unless they're trying to ensure availability for the 2nd route.

I suspect the routes are Auto yes and if you print out the trunk TNs you will see ATDN xxxx. When someone calls the trunk number it will ring to the set assigned by ATDN.

Or they could be setup as private line - usually not requires a seperate key on set.

You can print the routes and trunks. If routes are the same and they don't show up in a RLI from LD 86 - there would be no reason they couldn't be in the same route.

are we talking about inbound or outbound calls
