CO lines on Extension

Hi all,

Great forum. I'm a definity guy who has immigrated into Merlin country. I was wondering if it is possible to assign a CO line to a MLX-10 phone for inbound/outbound calling by a specific user. In other words, the user is extension 25 and I want to give her (2) SA buttons and (2)CO lines on buttons of her phone also. I want her to be able to receive and make calls from the CO lines on her phone. Sorry if I am confusing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes you can do it...assuming that the lines are not in a pool. If they are not in a pool, then in SPM, go to:
EXTENSIONS
LINES/TRUNKS
TYPE EXT. NUMBER(enter)
ENTRY MODE(f6)
ENTER THE TRUNKS ONE AT A TIME.

If these two lines are for this individual user, then do you want unanswered calls on those two lines to go to the users VM? If so, you need to assign this extension as the "principal user"(under Lines/Trunks). But remember that the lines cannot be in a pool to be able to do this.

Also, if the user has a sufficient amount of programmable buttons on the phone, then I would leave all 3 SA buttons on the phone.
