have a partner acs r5 where line 2 locks up and button stays lit - a reset will solve problem until next call comes in - then line locks up - any thoughts?
I agree check the port. However, I had a co line that would do this randomly whenever it wanted and stay lit for hours, then go out. Chased it to a particular extention that had water getting into a splice between the extension and the Partner and freaking everything out. Clue here is that the timer on the set display would tick away the hours...

I had a similar problem on a Legend system, analog port. I had all the extensions on a DSS and tracked the one down that stayed lit. Guess what? The jack was in a puddle under a service advisors "desk". At another site, the customer had a modem that went on every day, all day. They assured me there was no modem on the system. Once again I programmed all extensions on a phone (P18D) and was able to track it down.
