Is there any way to program CO Line keys on IP sets working through a 5.0 MCD?
Finally, I put a ATT Partner user in a Mitel, however the customer is demanding that the 4 LS/GS trunks be put on every phone. Any way?

Direcvt trunk select. Then programme the keys using the multi line key form preceding the trunk number by a T; line type would be a key system and ringing depends on how they want to answer it.

You can put the lines on as many sets as you wish.

The issue with DTS keys is that you cannot route them anywhere on no answer.

The 3300 is not a key system, making it into one is a shame.

I agree entirely but if its what the customer is demanding and you make clear the shortcomings f hamstring the system....

What the customer is demanding is due to their not understanding the benefits of changing their mode of operation.

Zete, hopefully you are capable of educating the customer in the benefits of change. The 3300 is a state-of-the-art system and making it into a norstar is akin to making an F-35 into a Bi-plane.

Though a customer demands something if we new why we might be able to suggest a better alternative. If its just for a incoming ringing appearance you could do a ring group. If its for outgoing access they the DTS option is likely the best. As a trained tech it is always our job to get an understanding of the issue and suggest the best method rather then simply accepting a customers requests. They don't normally know the capabilities of the system.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
