I have to chime in and concur with PappaG. I used to re-boot with the command. When the system came up with an error message that a file was missing. I called Avaya and they checked and said that I did not re-boot the machine correctly. They dressed me down for using the reboot command. The schooled me in the shutdown -y -g0 -i6.
