We are looking at buying a used CMS system from a vendor to use on our G3r ver 9.5 so we can monitor the statistics of our call angents. The specs that she gave me was:

Ultra Sparc5 and software V3R9
500 split/skill agents
1 ACD and 2 supervisor
Vectoring, Expert Agent, CenterVu, Reporting

I can't find a lot out about V3R9, but isn't that a pretty old version?

The number of agents is way more agents than we have, but I don't know if having only 2 supervisor licenses is enough. What capability does the supervisors have? We have about 4 or 5 people at any one time that could be watching the stats of the call agents to see how they are doing on call processing. Do you need a supervisor license for each person that does this?

Is the 1 ACD the connection to the G3r?

Although it's not as out ragiously expensive as the newer version, it's not that cheap either, so I wanted to get an idea of if it's worth getting or if another version gives more capability.

Thanks

Mike

Technically the CMS software still belongs to Avaya. The initial purchase includes a non-transferable Right-to-Use (RTU). R3V9 is several releases behind the current CMS offer (R3V15) and is no longer supported by Avaya. Under you purchase arrangement I doubt if you could get a maintenance contract anyway.

CentreVu Supervisor is a desktop software package that includes a user-frendly interface. In addition to CVS, you can use a terminal emulator to access the CMS application as well.

mikej97204,

i would add that those 2 supervisor licenses are for centrevu supervisor clients, accessing cms via terminal doesn't count toward supervisor license usage. very useful if you have more people than licenses... and by the way, forecasting is only accessible via terminal.
