Hello Friends.
From time to time (avg. once a week) our CMS stops and i've to do ./ccm.sh -restart all. Does anyone know why this happens. This causes a lot of problems since all the schedulings are messed up....
Or is there a way to send notification email when the CMS stops or goes down.
Thanks all..

BOXI R2 on Solaris.

We run our BOE-XI (R2) on WINDOWS SERVER 2003, so I am not sure if there is anything you should look for that is specific to Solaris.

Usually unplanned CMS stops means that you have lost connection to the CMS database.

This sometimes happens if the DB is being backed-up or patched - or if the network between the CMS and the DB goes down.

You could run a 3rd party tool to monitor the CMS service - or use a scheduling tool to stop/start the CMS around your DB back-ups.
