The CMS Service tends to stop on it's own. It is a new install and only a few users have access to this. This also occurs on our test server installation.

Any way to prevent this? Is it possible to be notified somehow when the service goes down?

Thanks!

Hi,
Check the Event Viewer to see what error messages are there, they may show why the CMS stopped..

You can set the options on the CMS service ( like other Windows services) to restart after a failure...( even after 2 or 3 or to take other actions)
( In the Windows 'Services' applet ( not the CCM), right-click the service and,on the Recovery tab, set the actions you want it to do if it fails)
