Hello,
I have very old version cms and switch. I am trying to install a Intuity with DCIU interface. The processor channel one is being used by CMS how do I use another channel for cms so i can free up channel one for the intuity? I was told i can only use channel one for Intuity!!!!

thank you very much for the hlep!

you need to have 4 wire datamodule to activate the other channels,...

There are two terms used with the X.25 connections. Link refers to the physical connection between the switch and the adjunct. Link 1 is unique in that it can use either the PI connector on the back of the cabinet (G3si) or use a Data Module. Links 2 through 4 (G3si) are only usable with a Data Module. From what you state, the CMS is using physical link 1 through the PI connector and an IDI connection. Links 2 through 4 will work fine for an Intuity. The 2nd part of the adjunct administration is the Processor Channel assignment. On a G3si there are 64 channels available. It sounds like the CMS is using channel 1, which is normal. Intuity AUDIX usually uses channel 59. You can look at the current assignments by doing 'display communications-interface links' and 'display communication-interface processor-channel'.
