Hi,

When trying to publish a CR to the Business Objects server/Infoview, I'm getting the error: "No CMS running at port 6400".

Can anyone provide any insight?

BOE 11.5

Thanks,
Shannon

Why not just save it directly?

Select the File->Save As->Enterprise icon (lower left) from within Crystal Reports.

This allows you to overwrite previous reports and maintain scheduling etc.

Hi,
Th eerror you got:

"No CMS running at port 6400".

means that the server you specified as the CMS host does not have the CMS service running on the 'standard' port..Are you sure you were specifying the CMS server and not your local PC ( which is what the publishing wizard will assume as the default)

Or, if your CMS is connecting to a web server through a firewall, the port probably will not be 6400. In that case you would have to use the format <cms name>:<port number> to connect to the CMS.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Thanks to all for your comments. This was posted because I was trying to help one of our international locations set up their BOE server. They don’t have anyone who has any experience at that location. They have since worked with Business Objects and are now up and running.

Thanks.
